Every year you set new goals. Every year you try something new. This year you decorate with a new trend. Its called the Pink and Blue trend for 2016.

It is a simple tie between the calmest colors. Pink talks of sunsets and sea shells. Blue talks of sunrise and water. Keeping it cool this year, let’s decorate your home with the trend. Just throw in these beautiful cushions and drapes. Add majestic drama with a blue carpet and cozy comfort with a soft quilt.

New modern

New modern

Summer highs and summer lows. We love the t-shirts and hate the heat that only grows.
What pleasure it was as kids to roll, in the grass and meadows…
Aren’t we all craving to sit on the floor with our cuppa tea? And that’s what your home is offering this summer. We will try and mix play and leisure for you to completely unwind when you walk in that door.
There must be a pile of unused and ratty old furniture hidden in your storage. If not, then certainly an old rug or bed spread. The new modern style screams simplicity. And what is simpler than an ensemble of your favorites!  Yes, your home speaks volumes about your personality. So let the room so the talking (and impressing) for your guests.
I’d like you to leave your plush seat and sit on the floor. It is a simple and relaxing  change from our daily postures. As simple as it gets, now pick up your monochrome rug and throw and get ready to chill. A good buy is this Zen coffee table that adds charm to your living space. Let’s enjoy the little luxuries this summer!

Forest Neutrals

Forest Neutrals

So we talked about keeping this season light and breezy. But too light a color scheme may also look a bit bland. Just like your frappe with an overdose of ice, ewww! We sure love a cold coffee, but maybe not extremely chilled. See what I mean? It is summer, yes. But we also shopped a lot last season and wouldn’t want to makeover entirely…

That’s when I thought we could bring in some freshness with natural hues (read: wood, greens, sand). This is a living room look where you can pull in an occasional throw and hold on to your knitted cushion from winter. Our fancy rug is too plush for comfort, so we hang it up with elan! Did you know that Orange aroma is just as refreshing in hot months? So lay out your fancy Tom Dixon tea set and enjoy your new forest retreat.

Salt and Pepper Salmon

Salt and pepper Salmon

Summer calls for a change in menu. Summer also calls for a fresh new Hallway!

This season, we’ll play with cool neutrals. Which means stacking away bright rugs, throw pillows, decoratives, lights and most importantly, fabrics. If you’re anything like me, you’ll narrow down on two or three colors and play with its shades. Because we’re taking one room at a time and we want to pull it together effortlessly!

So for the hallway, I pick neutral gray, taupe and salmon. These pretty colors go beautifully with most entry doors and floors. Plus, who would mind a peachy welcome!
